Navigating the food and menus in Buenos Aires isn’t exactly the easiest thing to do.
Here is a list of some restaurants and food tips that I’ve come across while living here.
International flavors:
Arabian takeout-
Random? Yes. I’m sure it’s not the first thing that comes to your mind, but if you are having withdrawals from spicy food, you must try their salsa picante. The place that I frequent is called Dody’s and it is located on Rodriguez Peña 1136 (right off of Santa Fe). They have amazing beef and chicken shawarma and I am obsessed with their yabra, hummus and kibbe! It’s relatively fast for takeout, but there are also places to sit and enjoy the grub. To top it off, the prices at Dody’s are budget friendly.
Mexican food-
On the same block as Dody’s there is a place called El Salto de las Ranas that has amazing fajitas. Not extremely inexpensive, but a great place to enjoy a long, tasty meal with friends!
Another place to get Mexican food is called La Fabrica del Taco. If you’ve been here awhile then I’m sure you’ve heard of it already, but I highly recommend trying it for yourself if you haven’t yet. It is located in Palermo on Gorriti 5062. La Fabrica del Taco is much more laid back than El Salto de las Ranas, but just as delicious and they have great drink specials. They aren’t your traditional tacos, but you won’t be disappointed.
